Your first goal: cap, and grab your purples
When you start out you won't have many units at all. So in sieges, make one thing your absolute priority: capping the special capture points. Right now they are called Garrison, or something close, and the name may still change before the live server.
Capping them hands you two purple units, the Berserkers and the purple Lancer Cavalry. So cap the point, swap straight onto those units, and play as a group: follow your team, and don't overextend.
The opening, in one lineCap the point, grab your two purples, and move as a group.

Stamina management
Stamina management is one of the biggest things separating good players from everyone else. Get this right and every fight feels easier. Most of it comes down to three rules.
The short version: your shift and your dodge are not for travelling. They are for surviving. Spend them on purpose, and you will win fights on stamina alone that other players lose.
A 30v30 battle gives you far more room than you are used to. Unique plays land much harder here: flanks, solo-carry DPS, plays nobody else on the field is making.
It takes people time to recognise your impact, and every second of that delay is to your advantage. Read the space, take the play nobody else will, and you can tilt a whole game on your own.

Master the controls
Your hero is only half of you. These are the controls most new players never learn, and they win games:
- Use the far-X move. Send your units somewhere far without dragging your hero along. Don't be the player who only moves his units by walking his hero over to them.
- Know when to fight, and when to RETREAT. Learn when to take a fight, and just as importantly, when to leave one. Walking away from a bad fight wins more than forcing it.
- Heal at a supply. CTRL-click a unit onto a supply to heal it, and heal your hero the same way. Don't let a hurt unit stay hurt.
Play around your cooldowns
Play around your cooldowns. Even brand new, with no idea how the game works yet, don't fight mindlessly. Learn your strong and weak windows: fight when your cooldowns are up, and temporise, buy time and reposition, when they are down.
You don't need to understand everything about the game to do this. Just notice what your key abilities are, and only pick fights when you have them ready.
Pick your Romance Chronicle
Take the time to look at the Romance Chronicles and pick the one you want to do. These are TK's version of Conqueror's Blade seasonal challenges: they unlock units, heroes and doctrines (called Tactics in TK).
There is no clear best path right now, and honestly we will probably unlock nearly everything pretty fast, so go for the one you enjoy. The tier list and the rest of these guides keep updating as the playtest goes on.
