Skills
Charge
Order your unit to charge to the designated location.
Rampage
Ironcap Scout Cavalry launches several charges against the current target and attacks other enemies along the way. This skill deals 50% less damage to heroes and its cooldown cannot be reduced by doctrines.
Formations
Dispersed
A loose formation that reduces unit vulnerability to ranged weapons.
Line
The unit stands in two ranks, making it better at frontal attacks.
Wedge
The unit forms a wedge-shaped formation to break through enemy lines.
Guide
Playstyle
- Look for the video under this
- Charge is a close-up spell and not your main way of doing DMG like other cav. Charge or X-move in, then press 2
- With the recommended set of doctrines, the X-move while Sprint is active is insanely strong
- If you don’t have them, replace by other DMG doctrines
Doctrines
Highest level you can.
Mandatory
- Unit Damage Doctrine V (+120 unit DMG, +80 all-type)
- Sword Cavalry Speed Doctrine (+30% movement speed, +90 slashing DMG, +60 slashing AP)
- Victory Rush Doctrine
- Hero Damage Doctrine V (+115 hero DMG, +110 all AP)
- Sword Cav Sprint Extra-Attack Doctrine (sword cav archetype-shared: while Sprint is active, extra attack deals double DMG, can’t trigger when using active)
Filler
- Generic DMG doctrines (alt if you don’t have the Sprint extra-attack + Sword Cav Speed combo)
- Mobility Doctrine V (+7% movement speed, unlocks Sprint +15% for 12s)
The X-move + Sprint extra-attack synergy is insanely strong. The Sprint Extra-Attack Doctrine + Sword Cavalry Speed Doctrine combo is the build’s core value. Without those, swap to generic DMG doctrines.
