Core: With Valour, Mercy of Heaven, filler Spell, Clash of shields
As a Longsword player, your primary role is to support your team by providing buffs and healing, especially through the rune Mercy of Heaven, which boosts your allies’ defenses by 10%. Focus on applying this buff to your frontline at crucial moments to help them hold their position and withstand enemy attacks. Proper timing and positioning are key to maximizing the effect of your buffs.
Your secondary role is to disrupt the enemy. Against melee-heavy teams, use stuns and crowd control to break their formations, creating openings for your team. If the enemy relies on cavalry, your job is to intercept and disrupt their charges. Stun cavalry mid-charge to prevent them from wreaking havoc on your team. When facing Xuanjia heavy cavalry, engage early to force them to use their crowd control immunity, allowing your teammates to follow up with stuns and neutralize them.
In summary, balance between buffing your team and disrupting the enemy is essential for effective Longsword play.
